I started training for triathlon in 2011 and completed my first full Ironman in 2013. Since then, I’ve finished six Ironmans, more half and Olympic distance races than I can count, and even planned and executed a DIY full Ironman for my team during COVID when all other races were cancelled. I’ve also learned some hard lessons. Two significant bike crashes in the past year—including one at 51mph that landed me in an ER being treated like a motorcycle accident victim—taught me what it really means to rebuild. Not just physically, but mentally. I went from barely making it around the block without falling apart to grinding my way back to outdoor FTP tests and rediscovering why cycling is my favorite sport. Helmets saved my life. Twice.
That experience shapes how I coach. I believe in understanding the “why” behind every workout—why it’s scheduled for this day, why it’s at this intensity, why we’re doing it at all. A strong “why” keeps everything aligned when the work gets hard.

I work especially well with athletes who have some experience in the sport or are getting invested early. My focus areas are bike and run development—not just building strength and speed, but refining skills, dialing in nutrition and hydration, and helping athletes learn about themselves along the way.
